The Piano Guys

So I’ve recently become obsessed with The Piano Guys (you can find their video’s on youtube), for those of you who don’t know them they are two musicians, one plays piano and the other cello. The two of them do beautiful classical renditions of popular songs, from What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction to Bring Him Home from Les Miserables. As a musician myself, I find it extremely inspiring to find people who find a way of taking a song that’s already amazing and making it even more beautiful. Not only is the music fantastic, but the passion that these two men put into their work makes the piece even more potent and alive. Watching their videos makes me want to sit down at my piano and only leave when my fingers are sore and tired. If you haven’t heard of them before you should really check them out, even if you don’t like classical music, perhaps it will change your view on what classical music is.
